7/10/2023 UPDATE: The Pleasant Prairie Recreation Department has canceled the Fastest Man & Woman in Kenosha event scheduled for 2023. The decision was made due to unexpectedly low registration numbers.

Community members and area guests are invited to participate in the inaugural Fastest Man & Woman in Kenosha race. The event will occur on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Donald Wruck Beach Pavilion in Prairie Springs Park. This exciting 2.3-mile race around Lake Andrea will determine the fastest individuals in Kenosha County.
“We are excited to host this inaugural event around Lake Andrea and invite community members and guests from the region to join us for the Fastest Man & Woman in Kenosha race on July 15,” said Sandy Wiedmeyer, Operations Superintendent at Pleasant Prairie RecPlex. “This competitive event will combine athleticism, community, and determination, providing an opportunity for outdoor activity and fostering camaraderie."
Registration is now open at RecPlex (9900 Terwall Terrace) or online at
RecPlexOnline.com/Run, under Fastest Man & Woman in Kenosha. The registration fee is $35 and includes an event T-shirt and a post-race medal. Ensure your t-shirt size by registering before the Saturday, June 24 deadline.
Packet pickup and day-of registration will be available between 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. at the Wruck Pavilion building. The race will start promptly at 12:00 p.m. and will be timed. Results will be posted within 24 hours on the RecPlex website at
