The Sex Offender Residence Board members consists of citizens appointed and confirmed by the Village Board. The Sex Offender Residence Board is responsible for reviewing an appeal submitted by an offender wishing to seek an exemption to the residence requirement pursuant to §287-3(a) Municipal Code. The Village regulates how closely certain sex offenders can be to schools, parks, and day care centers. An offender wishing to seek an exemption from the board must submit an Appeal to the Village Clerk's Office.
