The Engineering Department provides professional civil engineering design services and engineering management for the Village of Pleasant Prairie. The department is responsible for the following primary activities:
- Design, permit and solicit bids for public infrastructure projects, including sanitary sewer, water main, storm water facilities, and roadways;
- Establish and maintain uniform standards for design and construction within the Village to promote consistent quality throughout projects and to safeguard the interests of the community;
- Review engineering plans for private development to ensure that plans conform to Village requirements, sound engineering practices, and acceptable standards;
- Plan for future infrastructure needs, including sewerage, water supply, storm water management, and transportation systems; and
- Manage day-to-day engineering matter for the community, including citizen and developer inquiries, erosion control permits and project matters relating to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Kenosha County, and other agencies.
