Everyone Plays Scholarship

Everyone Plays Scholarship Program
Posted on 02/25/2026
The Village of Pleasant Prairie continues to offer the RecPlex Everyone Plays Scholarship, providing access to quality summer recreation and sports programming for individuals experiencing financial hardship. Made possible through a corporate sponsorship from HARIBO of America, the program allocates funds for scholarships to support youth and families in the community.

“At RecPlex, access to recreation should be available to everyone,” stated Sandy Wiedmeyer, Operations Superintendent at Pleasant Prairie RecPlex. “The Everyone Plays Scholarship helps remove financial barriers and supports participation in programs such as swim lessons, ice skating, hockey, baseball, soccer, and additional youth activities.”

Eligibility requires applicants to be residents of Kenosha County or Lake County, age 17 or younger, and to provide written documentation demonstrating financial hardship. Scholarships apply to a variety of recreational and introductory programs, including youth sports leagues, swim lessons, and youth fitness classes. Each scholarship covers up to $150 per applicant, with one scholarship available per individual each year. Program schedules vary and are available at RecPlexOnline.com.

A limited number of scholarships are available for 2026. Applications are accepted beginning in March and reviewed as they are received. Interested individuals may apply at RecPlexOnline.com/Forms under “Scholarship Applications.” All required fields must be completed and supporting documentation submitted for consideration. RecPlex staff review applications upon receipt and follow up as needed. Processing typically takes two to three weeks. Scholarships continue to be awarded throughout the year as funding allows.
