The Pleasant Prairie RecPlex and Community Impact Programs (CIP) Families are pleased to announce a partnership to extend program scholarships to foster children. This collaboration seeks to help reach and provide foster children with access to recreational programming at RecPlex. The initiative is made possible through a corporate citizenship sponsorship by HARIBO of America awarded to RecPlex in 2020, which allocates funds specifically towards scholarships for children in need. The objective is to ensure all children can engage in quality recreational activities regardless of their circumstances.
"At RecPlex, we are committed to providing recreational opportunities for all community members," said Sandy Wiedmeyer, Operations Superintendent at RecPlex. "Through our partnership with CIP Families, we seek to support foster children by offering them access to recreational programs at RecPlex."
Scholarship eligibility is open to foster children aged 17 or younger residing in Kenosha County. The scholarships cover a variety of recreational and introductory programs, including youth sports leagues, swim lessons, youth fitness classes, and more. Each recipient is eligible for one scholarship per year.
