Thank you to all those who joined us for the Pleasant Prairie Mud Run on Saturday, September 13. The Pleasant Prairie Mud Run is a down and dirty 5K obstacle course run/walk.
The course is designed to accommodate recreational runners competing in their first race through experienced athletes looking for a fun challenge. The course uses flat grass, dirt and gravel trails and has fun obstacles including: water crossings, tire runs, hay bale climbs, tunnel crawls, a slip and slide, and a mud pit. (Tip, you can find a link to photos here.)
The Pleasant Prairie Mud Run features three waves – a challengers’ wave for competitive folks, a women’s only wave, and a friends and family wave. For younger fun-seekers, organizers have also planned a Mud Run JR for 7 to 12 year olds and the Lil’ Mudder for 4 to 7 year olds.
“We’d like to thank all the folks that came out for the Mud Run this year. Mud Runners appeared to have had a lot of fun!” commented Carol Willke, Director of Recreation for Pleasant Prairie. The next 5K fun run in the Village, Scary in the Prairie, will take place on October 25.
