Fire Hydrant Flow Test Policy/Procedure
All valves and hydrants are to be operated by
Village of Pleasant Prairie personnel only.
· Upon receipt of a completed Fire Hydrant Flow
Test Request Form, a Village of Pleasant Prairie staff member will contact the
contractor to coordinate scheduling a date and time for the test. All tests are to be scheduled between 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday only.
· Hydrant operation requires 48 hours’ notice,
and all completed Fire Hydrant Flow Test Request Forms should be emailed to [email protected].
· **Flow tests are NOT conducted during cold
weather months, generally November 1st through March 31st, as determined
by the Utility Superintendent.
Exceptions will be at the discretion of the Utility Superintendent. **
· A copy of the flow test results must be
submitted to the Village of Pleasant Prairie upon completion of the test and
should be emailed to [email protected].
