Fire Flow Test General Conditions
- Fire flow tests shall not be performed during freezing temperatures or during weather conditions that could cause ice accumulation or otherwise endanger public safety.
- All pubic water hydrants and water valves are to be operated by Village of Pleasant Prairie personnel only.
- The permit holder or contractor shall provide all equipment, material, instruments, and personnel necessary to perform the fire flow test safely and effectively. This includes, but is not limited to:
- All gauges, meters, adaptors and safety devices required to measure flow and pressure.
- All hoses, diffusers, or other appurtenances necessary to control water discharge and prevent erosion, property damage, or unsafe conditions.
- Any traffic control devices or measures required to protect the public and work area.
- All equipment must be in proper working order and acceptable to the Village.
- All results of fire flow tests, including static pressure, residual pressure, and flow readings, shall be submitted to the Village within seven days of testing or as otherwise required by the Village to email address: [email protected].
- Upon paying for and receiving approved permit, test shall be scheduled at least 2 business days in advance by calling (262) 948-8951 or emailing [email protected]. Test must be performed under the supervision of the Village at the time and date approved by the Village. No tests shall be performed on weekends, holidays, before 9:00 a.m. or during freezing temperatures or weather conditions that could cause ice accumulation or otherwise endanger public safety.
