The Addison of Pleasant Prairie, an established senior living community and memory care facility at 9651 Prairie Ridge Boulevard, is now operating as Primrose of Pleasant Prairie under the ownership of Kenosha Retirement. On March 4, Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission members approved a new Conditional Use Permit and amendments to existing ordinances to reflect the change in ownership and the new name. The meeting also approved a Digital Security Imaging System (DSIS) Agreement and DSIS Access Easement.
Primrose of Pleasant Prairie purchased The Addison of Pleasant Prairie in February 2024. The facility, originally developed by Senior Lifestyle Corporation in 2014, provides a nurturing environment where residents can thrive and enjoy the comforts of home. The internal management team is committed to maintaining high standards of care and service for the 100 units, focusing on assisted living and memory care programs.
With the transition to Primrose of Pleasant Prairie comes a rebranding initiative and a commitment to continue operating the building as a Community-Based Residential Facility. The new owners look forward to welcoming residents, families, and community members to experience the same hospitality to which they are accustomed. Kenosha Retirement also purchased the vacant land to the south for future senior housing. This aligns with the Senior Lifestyle Project plans approved by the Village in December 2013 for a second development phase.
The company has 35 years of experience and locations in 17 states, including three existing facilities in Wisconsin. With the addition of the Pleasant Prairie facility, Kenosha Retirement expands its footprint to four locations in Wisconsin. Primrose of Pleasant Prairie, under the management of Kenosha Retirement, is poised to continue providing exceptional senior living and memory care services to residents in the region, drawing upon the company's extensive experience and dedication to quality care.
