The Pleasant Prairie Police Department will host a public Open House at its newly constructed Police Station on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The station is located south of Village Hall at 10111 39th Avenue. Residents and visitors are encouraged to attend, meet police personnel, and take guided facility tours. Admission is free, and parking will be available.
The new 58,000-square-foot station features state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance public safety services. Key improvements include a digital evidence laboratory, an expanded evidence processing area, a modern dispatch center, and an enlarged detective bureau. The station also houses interview rooms, booking and holding areas, administrative offices, and upgraded locker storage. The lower level includes a defensive tactics training room, underground parking, additional storage, and a vehicle impound area. These upgrades enhance operational efficiency and provide officers with the necessary resources to serve the community effectively.
Planning for a new Police Station began in 2016 to address space limitations at the Roger Prange Municipal Building. The Village’s Plan Commission approved the Conceptual Plan in November 2022, followed by the Village Board’s final approval in January 2023. Construction began in May 2023 and was completed by the end of 2024. The Police Department has fully transitioned to the new facility and looks forward to welcoming the community.
The Open House offers an opportunity to explore the modern facility and upgraded equipment that support the department’s mission. Guests will gain insight into police operations, emergency response capabilities, and public safety initiatives. Families are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and learn more about law enforcement in Pleasant Prairie.
