Following a Public Hearing on Monday, July 12, the Plan Commission approved Site and Operational Plans for Alex Parmentier to purchase the property located at 3712 93rd Street. The location will continue as a contractor's storage yard for Parmentier Property Works LLC, doing business as Parmentier Concrete. The company specializes in residential foundations and commercial concrete flatwork and will store small excavation, concrete, and snow removal equipment on the property.
The site was recently cleaned, and all existing inoperable vehicles, boats, and debris were removed from the property. Parmentier Concrete will store materials such as rebar, lumber, gravel, pipe foam, rock salt, concrete forms and fuel storage. In addition, the stored contractor equipment will consist of dump trucks, pick-up trucks, concrete form trucks, excavators, loaders, and equipment trailers. The site has three existing buildings on the property, including a 1,764 square foot shop building and two small storage sheds.
"Alex has established rapport with the neighbors and done a tremendous job cleaning up the area," said Jean Werbie-Harris, Community Development Director. "The property has not been this clean in a very long time; it is a very nice improvement that brought orderliness to the site."
Parmentier Concrete will have eight full-time and two part-time employees. Daily activities on the site will occur Monday to Friday and occasionally on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The petitioner will provide two defined 20-foot-wide driveway entrances on 93rd Street and designate nine employee parking spaces. The existing fenced area of the site will remain locked during evening hours.
