On Monday, June 22, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission approved a Conditional Use Permit and Preliminary Site and Operational Plans for a Kwik Trip gasoline, convenience store, and car wash facility planned for the Village. The Kwik Trip will be generally located west of Old Green Bay Road at 102nd Street in the Main Street Market development.
Plans for the approximately 2.9-acre site include ten fueling dispensers (20 fueling positions) under a canopy, with a 10,976 square foot convenience store and an attached car wash. The fueling station designs are for automobiles and small trucks fueling only. The hours of operation at the station will be 5:00 a.m. until midnight daily. One fuel, one grocery, and one additional delivery truck are expected from the facility daily between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
A total of 20 full-time and eight part-time employees will work at the facility. Due to the proximity of the residential condominium development across Old Green Bay Road to the east, the building is considering lighting design. The developer is carefully evaluating the height of the gasoline canopy, direction of lighting, and signage to ensure the light is directing downward to meet the neighborhood requirements.
