On Monday, May 13, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission considered and sent a recommendation to the Village Board to approve a Certified Survey Map, Vacation of Easements, a Development Agreement, and a Digital Security Imaging System Agreement for the development of Vista at Creekside. The request of Dan Szcap of Bear Development LLC. for the development of 62 acres of land approximately located at 91st Street and Old Green Bay Road and extending to Creekside Circle.
The Vista at Creekside plans include to develop 14.5 acres with seven - 20 unit apartment buildings, detached garage buildings, clubhouse, and associated site improvements. The remaining 47.5 acres will be developed with 54 single-family homes. The original conceptual plan of the Vista at Creekside was introduced to the Plan Commission in January and had a considerable opposition from Creekside Crossing residents. After months of re-evaluation and recreating multiple drawing options, on March 15 the Plan Commission chose a compromised plan that worked for both the developer and the Creekside Crossing residents. The Village Board approved the compromised plan on March 27.
“We listen to our residents,” said Plan Commission Chairperson Mike Serpe, “We listen to their concerns and came up with the best outcome for them while considering the best interest to meet the housing demand needed in the community as the Village continues to develop.”
