The Pleasant Prairie Police and Fire & Rescue Departments invite the community to Prairie Springs Park for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. This free event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Prairie Springs Park Ball Field Pavilion, 9900 Terwall Terrace, on the park's south end. The event promotes neighborhood safety, trust, and camaraderie by connecting community members with public safety agencies and local organizations.
National Night Out will feature various activities and attractions for all ages. Attendees can engage with public safety personnel and enjoy a petting zoo, bounce house, youth games, safety vehicle tours, face painting, safety demonstrations, and more. Complimentary food and drink will be provided.
National Night Out is a nationwide celebration that encourages communities to unite. It raises awareness about safety measures and promotes establishing Neighborhood Watch programs and emergency preparedness plans. The event provides a unique opportunity to connect with public safety personnel in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, learn about crime prevention strategies, and promote community partnerships. By fostering positive interactions and open communication between public safety departments and residents, the Village of Pleasant Prairie can create safer neighborhoods and build stronger communities.
"National Night Out is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, build relationships, and strengthen our commitment to safety," said Pleasant Prairie Police Chief David Smetana. "We encourage everyone to join us for an evening of fun and engagement as we work together to create a safer and more connected community."
