As summer approaches, anticipation grows among residents and visitors for the reopening of Lake Andrea Beach. The Recreation Department will launch the 2024 beach season on June 8 and June 9 for opening weekend. Regular beach hours will start the following week, on June 15 and continue through September 2.
Pleasant Prairie taxpaying residents can enjoy a complimentary season pass to the beach by presenting an ID or utility bill with their name and address. Beach passes will be available at the Wruck Beach Pavilion.
RecPlex members also receive beach access with their facility membership. For the general public, day passes are available for $8 per day, while season passes can be purchased for $80 per family.
“We are thrilled to welcome everyone back to Lake Andrea Beach for another remarkable summer,” expressed Brett Christopher, Director of Recreation Programming at Pleasant Prairie RecPlex. “With the return of the Wibit and our dedicated lifeguards this season, we are committed to delivering a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience for all.”
The Wibit, an inflatable play structure, offers a unique playground on the water for individuals of all ages. Additionally, kayak and paddleboard rentals are available by the hour through Froggy’s Landing. Safety remains a top priority. Trained lifeguards will be stationed throughout operating hours to maintain the safety of beachgoers in and out of the water. The beach season will continue through Labor Day, providing ample time for everyone to enjoy the sun, sand, and water.
