Man Dies in Work Place Accident

At 8:30 a.m. this morning, Pleasant Prairie Police Department officers along with Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue units responded to a call of an industrial accident that had occurred at a facility in 8500 block of 100th Street. 

First responders found plant coworkers of the injured party attempting to aid the unresponsive coworker. A preliminary investigation determined that the employee, a 51-year-old Kenosha County man, suffered fatal injuries after coming in contact with racking while operating a mobile lift.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) responded to the scene and are investigating the work place accident. Pleasant Prairie Police were assisted by the Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue, the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office, and OSHA personnel.
