The Village of Pleasant Prairie is encouraging interested residents of all ages and backgrounds, business owners, commercial property owners, and community organizations to attend the Village Green Center Community Kick-Off gathering on Thursday, January 17, from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the LakeView Studio located at RecPlex (9900 Terwall Terrace).
The evening will start with a social hour from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with refreshments provided. An introduction to the project, its goals, and community-driven engagement process will begin at 6:00 p.m. The evening concludes with committee participation sign-up.
“For those who can’t attend the gathering, we will be accepting committee participation throughout the duration of the project, so please join in when you are able,” says Todd Streeter, project facilitator.
The newly formed project committee will include 8 subcommittees developing new ideas, concepts and recommendations for not only the undeveloped 72 acres that is owned by the Village (along Springbrook Road), but also for the remaining available land in the Village Green Center.
