Police Investigate HWY 50 Accident

On Sunday, December 9 at 3:29 p.m. the Pleasant Prairie Police Department was called to the 8800 block of HWY 50 for a multiple vehicle accident. Upon arrival officers discovered the offending vehicle had hit several cars that were stopped at a red light in the eastbound lanes. The offending driver had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. The driver is a 25-year-old Kenosha man whom was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital and then taken by Flight For Life to Froedtert Hospital. There was also a 25-year-old female passenger from Kenosha inside the truck at the time of the collision and gunshot. Another driver from a different vehicle was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. HWY 50 was shut down for several hours with the assistance of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department. This case is being investigated by the Pleasant Prairie Police Department with the assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol Accident Investigation Unit. We do not believe there is any threat to the public concerning this case.
