Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue is pleased to announce the 2018 Cooper Memorial Scholarship worth up to $2,500 to students who are pursuing a career in a fire service or EMS related field. The scholarship can be found at

The 2018 Cooper Memorial Scholarship is in honor of David Cooper who proudly served the Village of Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue Department for 37 years. In 2013 David unexpectedly passed away after a short fight with cancer. He was six months from retirement. David’s passion as a firefighter was surpassed only by his love for his family and dedication to give back to the community. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist young men and women who share David’s passion to give back to his/her community.
The scholarship will be awarded at the 5th Annual Pleasant Prairie Firefighter Local 3785 Charity Golf Outing on Friday, July 27th. More information about the golf outing can be found at
