The Records Bureau processes and maintains all paperwork and official records for incidents handled by the Pleasant Prairie Police Department.
Open Records Requests
All requests for copies of police reports and associated documents are handled by the Records Bureau. Requests for reports are accepted in person, mail, via phone/fax or email.

The Records Bureau has ten business days to respond to a request for a police report. If you have questions regarding the status of a request please contact the Records Bureau by phone, (262)948-8912 or via e-mail Records bureau .
We recommend contacting the Records Bureau prior to picking-up a report to ensure it is available.

Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act
The Federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) (18 U.S.C. § 2721) prohibits the disclosure of certain “personal information”
or “highly restricted personal information” which originates from a State motor vehicle record. Under current controlling law,
disclosure of each item of “personal information” or “highly restricted personal information” must be justified by the specific
permissible use identified below. Failure to provide such justification may result in redaction of the record requested. Such
information shall not knowingly be disclosed or otherwise made available without the express consent of the person to whom
the information pertains or unless specifically permitted by the DPPA. For purposes of determining whether such information
should be released or redacted, please complete and return the following form.

The Pleasant Prairie Police Department provides digital fingerprinting services to the public on Wednesdays from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. except holidays. No appointment is necessary.
