MEET VETERAN TRIATHLETE DANA JAROS
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE PLEASANT PRAIRIE TRIATHLON ON JUNE 24 AND 25
Dana
Jaros is a veteran triathlete at just 24 years of age. Having just
completed her second Boston Marathon last month, Dana will be competing
in the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon on Sunday, June 25, 2017. Dana’s
reason for competing may surprise you. While the Pleasant Prairie race
is right in Dana’s neighborhood, it’s the fact that the race helps
support the Therapeutic Recreation program where Dana has worked for the
past three years that gets her moving.
“I’m a disabled athlete
myself. I will do what I can to draw attention and support to the
Therapeutic program to help others. It’s a phenomenal program,” said
Jaros. Dana is doing just that. A portion of the proceeds from the
Pleasant Prairie Triathlon help support the Therapeutic Recreation
program which provides day camp, after school care, respite and adult
day programming for approximately 100 youth and adults with special
needs.
The event is still in great need of volunteers. To learn
more about volunteering or to register, please contact Erin Winch at

Saturday, June 24 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 25
from 4:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
