On Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 8:19 a.m., Pleasant Prairie Police responded to a complaint of shots fired in the 4200 Block of 124th Street. Upon arrival, officers heard loud music coming from inside a residence at the location.
Police officers contacted an occupant of the home at the rear door. A 19-year-old male exited the house and spoke with officers. A search of the home was conducted to assure no persons were injured inside the residence. During the investigation, officers located and seized a firearm, ammunition, narcotics, and drug paraphernalia.
The 19-year-old male admitted to possessing a 9mm rifle and discharging it into the backyard through an open window in the lower level bathroom. The direction of the shots was toward other residences in the neighborhood. Additionally, the male suspect admitted to recently consuming alcohol and cocaine.
The male suspect was incarcerated in the Kenosha County Jail on the following charges: Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Use of Dangerous Weapon While Intoxicated, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
