Laws and Policies

The Village upholds both the Wisconsin State Statute as well as local Pleasant Prairie ordinances. In general, State Statute prevails and the local ordinances enhance the State laws. Local ordinances are set by the Village and are enforced within the boundaries of the Village. When a new ordinance is created it goes before the Village Board. Once approved the Village Clerk posts the ordinance and sends it off to be codified, or indexed. To see a list of the local ordinances please click on the link to the left.
